CHIDI AJAERE CEO GIG Motors

Chidi Ajaere is the son of the late Mr Edwin Ajaere, the founder of GIG, and he hails from Isu Local Government in Orlu, Imo State. GIG Group was founded in 1998 by Mr Edwin Ajaere who hails from Isu LGA, Imo state, as God is Good Motors, with a vision to provide premium bus services across Nigerian cities.

In 2009 Edwin Ajaere was kidnapped and killed, his son, Chidi Ajaere at the age 21 at that time came back from abroad and piloted the affairs of the company. This has since transformed the business into a leading technological driven logistics company, also playing in other sector of the Nigeria economy. He took over the GIGM Group, which comprises subsidiaries like GIG Motors, GIG Logistics, Stella’s Banking and Finance, Richmondhill Real Estate and Property, Ziuss Energy, Oil & Gas, GIG Aviation, and most recently, Jet Motors. Today, the GIG Group comprises over 5,000 employees.

GIG Motors, managed by Chidi, is an inter-state bus transportation company, while GIG Logistics carries out delivery services within and outside Nigeria across countries like the UK, the US, China, and other countries in Africa. Chidi founded GIG Logistics in 2012 as a subsidiary of the GIG Group and headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Today, GIGL’s services and products include courier services, mobile, social and e-commerce logistics, delivery services, on-board courier services, imports, packaging, mailroom management, and relocation services.
