Nigerian CEO Seminar 2026
Theme: Leading for Performance: Strategy, Execution and Organisational Growth
Format: Two-Day Executive Training Programme
Proposed Date: October 2026
Proposed Venue: Lagos, Nigeria
Organised by: Nigerian CEO Magazine
Participants: CEOs, managing directors, executive directors, senior managers, business owners and corporate executives
Background
Business leaders in Nigeria operate in an increasingly complex environment characterised by economic volatility, rising operating costs, technological disruption, changing consumer expectations, regulatory pressures, talent challenges and intensified competition.
In this environment, organisations require leaders who can make sound strategic decisions, mobilise their management teams, manage risks, strengthen corporate governance and translate business plans into measurable results. Technical competence and executive position alone are no longer sufficient. Today’s CEOs and senior executives must combine strategic insight with execution discipline, people leadership, technological awareness and organisational resilience.
The Nigerian CEO Magazine is therefore proposing the Nigerian CEO Seminar 2026, a two-day executive training programme designed to strengthen the leadership and management capabilities of CEOs and senior corporate executives.
Unlike a conventional business conference dominated by speeches and ceremonial presentations, the Seminar will be practical, participatory and results-focused. It will combine expert-led instruction, Nigerian and international case studies, moderated discussions, executive exercises, peer learning and organisational action planning.
Context and Rationale
Many organisations develop ambitious strategies but struggle to implement them successfully. This implementation gap is often caused by unclear priorities, weak accountability, poor communication, resistance to change, ineffective performance management and insufficient alignment between the board, executive management and operational teams.
At the same time, Nigerian business leaders must respond to challenges including:
- Inflation and increasing operating costs
- Currency and financing pressures
- Regulatory and compliance requirements
- Digital transformation and artificial intelligence
- Cybersecurity and data-protection risks
- Talent attraction, retention and succession
- Corporate governance and stakeholder expectations
- Changing customer behaviour
- Reputation and crisis management
- Regional and international competition
The Nigerian CEO Seminar will provide a structured environment in which senior leaders can examine these issues, acquire practical management tools and develop solutions applicable to their respective organisations.
Seminar Theme
Leading for Performance: Strategy, Execution and Organisational Growth
The theme reflects the need for business leaders to move beyond strategic intentions and concentrate on disciplined execution, organisational productivity and sustainable growth.
It will examine how CEOs and senior executives can set clear priorities, align their management teams, allocate resources effectively, improve operational performance and build organisations capable of succeeding during economic uncertainty.

The principal goal of the Nigerian CEO Seminar is to strengthen the strategic leadership, execution and organisational-management capabilities of CEOs and senior corporate executives in Nigeria.
