Atlas Core Unveils Ambitious Fleet Conversion Drive for Clean Energy Shift
By Adaobi Okonkwo, Energy Correspondent
LAGOS — In a bold move to steer Nigeria’s transport and logistics sector toward sustainability, Atlas Core Energy and Logistics has launched its flagship Fleet Conversion and Clean Mobility Strategy. The initiative, unveiled this week, signals a significant push to transition commercial fleet operators away from traditional fossil fuels and toward cleaner alternatives such as compressed natural gas (CNG), electric, and hybrid technologies.
“Our focus is action, not slogans,” said Chief Executive Officer Owoade Emmanuel, a UK-trained energy strategist and researcher. “If Nigeria is to achieve real energy transformation, we must reimagine the infrastructure that underpins our mobility and logistics.”
The strategy targets high-density logistics corridors and urban transport zones across Nigeria, with Atlas Core set to establish CNG conversion hubs and full-service centers in key locations. The company aims to collaborate with transport operators, logistics providers, and policymakers to ensure cost-effective operations and technical reliability.
Beyond vehicle retrofitting, the initiative champions innovation through partnerships with technology developers and regulators, positioning Atlas Core as a proactive architect in the country’s clean energy landscape.
This launch marks a cornerstone in Atlas Core’s wider ambition: to be more than a participant in the sustainability conversation — to become the very framework on which Nigeria’s clean energy transition is built.
