Lagos once again became the epicenter of automotive culture as the city hosted the fourth edition of the Eko Drive Exhibition (Eko Drive IV). The event, held at the Alliance Française de Lagos in Ikoyi, drew car enthusiasts, bikers, creatives, and lifestyle lovers for a vibrant celebration of innovation and design in the automotive world.
Founder and Project Manager of Eko Drive, Ademide Osunsina, emphasized that the true strength of the exhibition lies in the community it continues to nurture. “This year brought together a diverse mix of car lovers, premium vehicle owners, bikers, and creatives. It reinforces Eko Drive’s reputation as a key platform for automobile culture in Lagos,” Osunsina noted.
The exhibition featured a curated lineup of classic cars, custom-built vehicles, electric automobiles, modern luxury cars, and high-performance machines. Beyond the impressive displays, attendees engaged in conversations about design, history, and individuality, creating a deeper connection with the vehicles showcased.
“The passion comes from seeing enthusiasts, luxury car owners, and power bike riders come together to explore cars and share their stories. The trust owners place in us year after year shows that the Eko Drive community is growing,” Osunsina added.
Co-founder and Event Coordinator, Sanjo Morgan, described Eko Drive as more than just an exhibition, highlighting its role in shaping Nigeria’s evolving automotive culture. “Our aim has always been to unite car lovers, promote safety, and showcase Nigeria’s automotive potential. This fourth edition confirms that our vision is being embraced,” Morgan said.
One of the standout moments of the event was a live demonstration by the electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G 580 with EQ Technology), which wowed the audience with a 360-degree ‘G-Turn’.
Co-founder and Creative Director, Imran Claud-Ennin, reaffirmed that Eko Drive will continue to expand its focus on storytelling and lifestyle expression within the automotive space.
